If you paid for this, you have to register it online with the product key that came with it, this will active it and allow you to use it. if this is not the case then i suggest you un-install norton and get AVG8 instead, this is free software and is far better than norton ever will be :)

good luck

Your problem is Nortons, This Software is notorious for this, what it is saying is you have a virus in your document folder and will not allow it to open or run. Uninstall Norton and Install a different Anti-Virus and watch your problem disappear. Good Luck. That Norton's is so mean I bet you even have trouble Uninstalling it, It don't like that. Ha Ha.

Message says my subscription has expired? I purchased Internet Security from Nortons on 12/7/07 why has it expired? It appars I am no longer protected and do not understand why this is.

Most of the Norton antivirus comes with one year subscription. date u mentioned here seems like more then 1 year old. That's why it says expired
If you dont want to spend any more money on antivirus then uninstall this one and download AVG from this site. this is really good antivirus for free and good for ever.

I try to run Nortons security centre as demanded as "one item is affecting your status" 2 hours later the computer has completely ground to a halt and the only option is to reboot. Paul

Can you remove nortons in the add remove program? Then try to install. Also in the search windows type in nortons and delete what comes up, Also synmantic (I think this is how it is spelled) and remove any thing that pops up. Norton is OK but for the money there are better..

Trojans can be tough to get rid of, the best solution is to reinstall Windows xp, then try installing norton again. Reinstalling windows will rid your computer of whatever program or cookie that contains the trojan. Then norton should take over and keep these forms of malware at bay.

You can download the trial from the Norton website. Then call them to get your key code, unless you have it saved in an email or something.
