CANON EOS 350D PRODUCING CORRUPT FILES

WHEN I TRY TO PUT THE PHOTOS WHICH I HAVE TAKEN WITH MY CANON EOS 350D ONTO MY PC THE FILES ARE ALWAYS CORRUPT. I HAVE TRIED USING DIFFERENT MEMORY CARDS AND EVEN DIFFERENT PC'S TO NO AVAIL. DOES THIS SUGGEST THAT THE PROBLEM IS WITH THE CAMERA ITSELF OR AM I MISSING SOMETHING? I BOUGHT THE CAMERA IN JUNE AND HAVE NEVER MANAGED TO PRINT ANY OF THE IMAGES EVEN THOUGH THEY APPEAR FINE AS THUMBNAILS ON THE CAMERA.

You need to change the camera's USB connection mode from "PC" to "Print/PTP" in camera setting menu. After that it should be recognized by Windows 7 without drivers.

Canon 350D

You can't edit the photos on the camera. The resolution is fixed after the picture is taken. All photo editing must be done on the computer. Zooming in is only temporary enlargement.

Lost Installation Software for Canon Rebel XT

I have created an ISO image of my Canon 350D software CD and uploaded it to filefactory.com
You can download it here http://www.filefactory.com/file/aga8gc6/n/EOSv10_zip
You should be able to get a free download slot, keep trying if the server is busy.

If you do not have software which can extract the ISO file, try the excellent CDBurnerXP, completely free from http://cdburnerxp.se

Once you have burned this to a CD, just insert and the Canon installer menu should automatically appear.

Please take the the time to rate this solution.

Date/time issue on Canon EOS 350D

I was wondering the same when I first got my EOS. Learned later that the digital pictures do not have date/time stamp on the front of the photos like film cameras' photos. Details of digital photos are stored digitally in each image file's EXIF.

If you want to print photos showing the date/time, some software including Zoombrowser EX can do that. In Zoombrowser, select the photos you want to print. In Step 2 (Printer & Layout Settings), in the bottom left, you can choose Date and/or Time and even the colour of the font.

Transporting pics

Easiest way is to take out the CF card and put it into a USB card reader with a CF slot.
You can then just drag/drop files from the camera card to your PC.

If you have taken RAW files only you will need to convert the pics to JPG using the canon photo professional software.
