I bought a Jensen TV (about 6 months ago) and, like some other people have said, it was working fine until one day it just would not turn on anymore. When I use the remote or push the power button on the TV it sounds like it is coming on but nothing appears on the screen. Some friends and I had been playing video games on it the day before for a long time but I dont know if that has something to do with it or not. The warranty only lasts for 3 months and, since you have told everyone else to get a technician to look at it, my question is how much will that cost? I am not too happy with the idea of paying someone to repair my brand new tv but I guess it has to be done. I tried leaving it unplugged for a few days but that didnt work. Is there anything else I can try? I have no idea how to tell if a fuse has blown or how to repair it if it is!! I would appreciate anything you could suggest.

A high pitch sound can be a capacitor losing power it would sound a bit like a fire work. most have back up on the board but it put more pressure on them the more times you use the tv. would check them and replace. all of them can be 5 in a row in some models.
i have a craig tv bought it six months ago it was working fine until i put it on today now it saying no signal i tired everything.it goes on but i cant get any pictur or sound
this is a symptom of a bad lamp. for some reason it won't spit out a lamp error. shaking up the lamp will sometimes fix temporarily but you will find replacing to be the answer. if your tv has a fan error, you will get 4 red blinks.
Call vizio asap they will have a tech come and fix it free.. after the manufacture warrenty runs out they want to charge you 6--$ to fix it here is the number! 877 698 4946
I bought a LG 39" flat screen 6 months ago. TV has been working great until this morning. Power comes on for about 5 seconds and then cuts off. Have checked all connections and have unplugged from wall to reset, NOTHING!! And a brand new TV!! Any help would be great!
