Philips Magnavox REM-350 Universal Remote ENTER/SELECT Key Proble

I have the owner's manual.
I followed the instructions for re-programming.
This has worked in the past.
But this time, when I re-program (both manual & auto-scan), POWER key starts working again (as well as Channel+-), but punching the channel number digits and then hit ENTER key does not change the channel.
There's no red light indicating it's talking to the TV when I push the channnel digits keys and the ENTER key.
It's a Sony Trinitron TV and the code that makes power key work is 0140.
