Whirlpool electric double oven #RBD305PDQ14 control panel blank

We have a Whilpool electric double oven model # RBD305PD. Out of the blue, it started to beep and there is no digital display on the control panel. The light function works and it sounds like it is firing up when you press the Bake button. Turned power off for ten minutes and when power restored the same problem occured.

Whirlpool electric double oven #RBD305PDQ14 control panel blank, electric is to the unit, light works fine, beeping is heard but no display

  • head4026 Jan 05, 2009

I have oven model RBD275PDS14 and it's 41/2 years old. The display started going blank until it totally went blank. It took it about 4 days to do so. Now whirlpool is telling me I just need to get a new oven. They finally offered 1/2 pricing on the part # 8302319 but it is out of stock and will be until further notice. Gee I wonder why!!!!!

I have a Whirlpool double oven. Less than 5 years old.

My control panel (part # 8302319-micro computer) went out on

November 23rd, 2008. I was to host Thanksgiving for 25 people. Couldnt do it. I have called Whirlpool countless times. Every time I call, I get someone telling me the part is expected to ship out next week.

Well its now January 29th, 2009.

Today I called and demanded to get somone who can either get this part, or send me a new oven (at their cost)... she's looking into it....ya right!

I was told this morning that the part is now on back order until February 15th.....are you kidding me?!?!?!?

I am outraged. I have gone 2 months without an oven, and appears that I will go another. Willing to bet in mid Feb, I will be given a new date.

I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER WHIRLPOOL PRODUCT AGAIN!

    This is outrageous....

I told the gal, why not pull the part I need out of one of your brand new ovens waiting to be sold and send it to me.

Her response was "we just cant do that"...

She did say that they could ship me a new oven, but it would be at my cost, since I've used the current oven for 4+ years.

I'm at a loss for words!

I had the exact smae problem. Mine was just over 5 years old (almost to the day). Replaced the control panel but the lower oven did not work still. I ogot a new one sent and both ovens now work. Had the same problem on waiting until Feb. You did good getting the part 1/2 off as I had to pay full price.

Panel is blank. Reset power and still no power/lights on panel. Interior light is only accessory that works on oven.

Based on initial research, this appears to be a common problem with Whirlpool double ovens. Whirlpool needs to address this issue. Our oven is about 3 years old.

The control panel part on my Whirlpool double oven (part #8302319) went blank six months back. Replaced it. Asked if there was a warranty on the part, was told no there was not. Yesterday, the six month old control panel went blank. Disappointed that Whirlpool manufactures such garbage.

Super common problem which is caused the the control panel. www.fixyourboard.com is the place to send these boards. Quick, reliable and cost effective solution. The blank display is often accompanied by E6/F2. This is alway the control board, no the touch panel.

The control board in **MY** whirlpool double oven (part #8302319) also went blank, after about 5 years of very little use. It is well out of the warranty period, but still, what a disappointment to learn that they don't make replacement boards, it's just a steaming pile of **** in my kitchen now. The only Whirlpool I'll ever use again is the one in my toilet when I flush it.

Control Panel has likely failed (circuit board). You can try removing the power wire from the back of the panel and then replug it back in to see if it resets the board, but Im sorry to say your likely going to have to remove and replace the control panel.

I have a Whirlpool RBD305PDQ8. The display is blank, but will beep when pushing the buttons. If I attempt to start the oven, it will not turn the oven on and will have a series of beeps. Do I need to...

Up there in the controls is a bullet fuse like this:
themobilian_1084.jpg
Designed to kill power to the controls if it gets too hot in there so the controls won't be harmed. That could be it but I don't know if it would beep if the fuse is blown, that could be a bad control. Use this manual to help you diagnose:

Usually this is a touchpad and control panel fault but the only way to know for sure is to do some electrical testing with a volt/ohm meter and the wiring diagram located within the appliance.

With the model number of the oven we could look up the code and be more specific about the problem.

Whirlpool RBD305PD has error F2E6 error on control panel

When this code appears and display is going blank too, it is always the control board. The only option is to buy a new one or get it repaired. It can be fixed quickly and reliably. www.fixyourboard.com

Control panel for oven functions has gone blank with occasional beeping sounds

The control panel may have a power issue. Replacing the board fixed my problem. It looks like 4 resistors and a ZD1 diode heat up and fail. The U1 chip could also be a problem. If you replace the controller it will cost around $225. Be careful of the key pad ribbon cable. They break easily. Another $186. Good luck.
