Buoght a Laptop

- Please can you help.
I bought a lap top Sony and I what to download all the information I have on the computer (Master CD) so if I need to format my hard drive to factory condition, when I have any problems or change my computer

The computer is Sony Vaio it has a CD burner/ writer. I have been told to record every thing on a CD before I use it, so I can have a master disk for when I need to reformat my computer.
