Re: IC's for JVC AV-48WP30
You need two STK392-110 convergence ICs. You can get them at the following link with free instructions on how to replace them. They actually have the repair kit for your model which contains both convergence ICs and the convergence resistors.
Heres the link. http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/

convergence output IC problem. convergence board would have to be removed - remove and replace 2 STK-392-120 IC's and check the surrounding resistors. Shops usually charge between $200-$400 Be sure to vote/rate me if this helped Thanks! See link for more detail http://www.ehow.com/how_4575598_yourself-projection-tv-repair-convergence.html
Your convergence I.C's ( integrated circuits ) Have failed. Replace Both I.C's with Stk392-150's. The unit is equipped with 110's. These are large IC's pn the convergence board located near the front of the unit. You need soldering/desoldering experience to do this job. I would recommend seeking professional assistance.
check for loose connections on convergence amp ic and crt boards Convergence amp ic bad http://home.earthlink.net/~oleg.filippov/ConvergenceFix.htm http://cmpalmer.blogspot.com/2006/11/fixing-my-own-tv-part-ii.html http://www.hdtvoice.com/voice/showthread.php?t=28929
This sounds to me as if you have a defective convergence output IC, whose gain is now sensitive to heat. As the IC gets warm, the gain changes and you see the colors separate. If you do not want to do any soldering then have the IC replaced by someone with experience in convergence circuits.
Not unless the Tv sneaking some kegerator juice while your not there??LOL It sounds like a Main b+ filter or possibly the convergence IC and is not user serviceable. With all the hi-voltage inside these sets its best for you and the set to call in a proffesional to do this type of repair. Sorry i couldnt assist you more with this repair.
