Question about Casio EX-Z1050 Digital Camera
We opened the camera all was fine but when we tried to close it the lens stayed open and even if we try to close it down, we just hear a weir noise and nothing happens. Tried recharging the battery.
When you opened it the cog connected to the motor which opens and closes the lens probably shifted and no longer has traction against the ring around the inside of the lens which turns it to open and close it. If you open the camera up again be extremely careful - the lens has loads of springs inside it - lose one of these and it won't work properly. I opened up the whole thing to try and fix my lens which had been jammed in after a friend dropped it. I fixed the lens but couldn't put the damn thing back together again to many tiny parts and no guide to the jigsaw!!
