Question about D-Link DI 514 Wireless Router (DI-514)
I tried to reset the router following the instructions on the manual and this forum but it refuses to reset. I tried the reset hole for more than 20s and the wlan light does not stop blinking. I am not able to access the router setup page either, tried the usual 192.168.0.1, etc...it is like it is not connected to the pc, although when I disconnect the lan cable the pc detects it was disconnected. Assuming your pc has previously connected to the router, why did you require a reset. Remove your RJ45 cable and try reset button for 10 secs then let go. The other problem I see is you cannot connect through both wireless and wired to one IP address, you say the wireless lan light flickers and then say it knows you have removed cable, are you trying to connect via two different computers or just one. Please reply on this post and not a new one; it's hard to follow.

The PC will detect a closed loop within the Network cable so forget that. Sorry but the router is bad if you cannot access it and the reset button does not help.
