Whenever i have my acer plugged in, after a while the screen goes dark and i have top press function+f6 and toggle the touchpad in order for it to go back to normal. Please help this is extremely anoyying

it would be the blue lettered fn and f6 keys, hold fn key-then hit the f6 key to toggle display. otherwise try and reset the notebook- take out battery and unplug the unit. then push and hold the power button for 60 seconds. then put the battery and plug it back in, and try and see if that works. this has worked on my acer 5100 several times! the screen could have a problem also. this is what i worry about every time this happens 2 me. good luck! if i can help more reply.
Laptops have the capability to use the monitor for projectors and dual monitors. In order to use those other items you have to press FN+F6 or FN+F5. This may have been pressed by accident. So press those two combinatons three or four times each. It may toggle to bring your screen on.
