My new notebook does not play DVD films. Why not and how can i solve this problem?
Hi,
Try different DVDs, this is to ensure that the disk your trying to play, isn,t warped-scratched et,c.
Also pc/laptops are usually region set for the players. i.e ntsc ( region 1 ) PAL ( region 2 )
do you get any error codes come up on screen, when trying to launch the dvd ?
Do you have a media or dvd player on the system, such as Cyberlink Power DVD Or Windows media player?
please post back, if none of this works, and i,ll help you through.

Hi,
to play dvd films, ensure your laptop has a media-player installed. i.e windows media player 9-10-11 et,c. also you could check in My computer/control Panel/system/device manager to see if there any yellow exclamation marks, next to any devices. if there are. you,ll need to re-install drivers for the device.
if this solves your problem, please rate as fixya.
thankyou for using the forum.
