When I plug the charger into the camera then plug it into the wall to charge...the light begins to blink green then after about 10 minutes nothing is hapening. When I unplugg and try and turn on the camera, the message is 'battery exhausted'. Why will it not charge?

I lost my CoolpixS3000 wall charger. Where can I get a replacement?
SOURCE: my nikon s8100 won't turn
It means it has a bad battery since it recognizes power using a different power source. Replace the battery and it should work fine.
SOURCE: its only 1 month that
Hi,the battery may have a dead one.,since you have a valid warranty pls ask for a replacement..
It is normal for the batteries since they have been fully tested under load..
sometimes it happens even with a famous camera maker as NIKON but remember batteries manufactured by another source, they just put a brand name whoever asks.
Hope this helps! Take care and please Remember to rate/vote and give me

Most cameras do not charge through the USB port. It is only used for transferring pictures. You will need to get an actual battery charger.
SOURCE: nikon coolpix s8100 lens error lens won't
Lens errors are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended ...
Here are some troubleshooting steps that you can try that may (or may not) correct it. They only seem to work for less than 40% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty (or repair cost approaches that of the camera), they're worth that try. Some of the later steps do involve some risk to the camera, so carefully weigh your options before deciding to conduct them.
