Question about GE Profile Spectra JGBP90 Gas Kitchen Range
Installed a new igniter in a GE oven/range and when I turn it on it takes approx. 1.5 to 2 min to ignite the gas. When it does the broiler sounds like it explodes. I was wandering if the igniter needs to be in a certain position in order to lit the gas.
Sounds like the ignitor is worn or mispositioned or the gas mix is wrong. Could also be a worn burner. Don't do this yourself unless your fire insurance is up to date.
