Canon usually provides for free download of its user manuals. Look for it somewhere here:

SOURCE: canon G3 powershot

If you only want to copy the images from your G3 onto your PC, you can use the pre-installed Windows XP application (if you have that OS) for that purpose. If you need the full S/W package, please go to the Canon Website;

SOURCE: Brand New Canon Powershot A1000 IS battery power always low

Are you still using alkaline batteries? If so, alkaline batteries just don't have the power for more than a few pictures in a digital camera. Some may also have reached their shelf life, and though right out of the package may even have problems just powering startup of the camera. Digital cameras that use AA's for the most part should only be used with rechargeable NiMH batteries. If you read the camera's instruction manual concerning batteries, you may see the same recommendation.

Keep in mind rechargeable NiMH batteries will save you money in the long run over alkalines, AND they'll last for at least 100 pictures per charge (and probably many many more). You'll be very pleased with their performance, and may be angry with yourself for not buying them sooner. When at the store, look on the package for a power rating of at least 2500 mah.

Short answer no, all digital cameras have a reset in the menu and some have an external reset switch. Chances are your camera has an internal error.

SOURCE: Canon PowerShot S3 IS & Windows 7

This is correct. The S3 is discovered by windows 7 and will allow download of pictures by Windows Picture download. The Canon Utilities software - Zoombrowser - will not work with windows 7 as the software cannot detect the Camera via Windows 7.. Also, Camera window will not start, if using the PC/laptop for remote image recording. If you virtualise XP within Windows 7 this still will not work. The only solution at the moment, if you are deperate, like I was (as I use the Remote Capture process a lot), is to either stick with Win Xp or Dual boot XP on a smaller partition.

I'm trying to load my photos from my camera to my computer and I'm getting a message that says "Save Folder Not Found." I've never had a problem before.

it is possible that the original "Save Folder" has been deleted or name changed. Go to options and create a new folder to save your photos to. Hope this can help. UAW 974

My PC does not recognize the camera and can't download the pics

Normally you need the Canon software to get the machine to recognize the camera, some other software will sometimes recognize it such as Adobe Photo, but it is best to load the drivers and software meant for your camera. If you have the disk that came with the camera, try reloading the software. It may tell you to first uninstall whats on there. if you do not have the disk, then go to:

http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer/digital_cameras/powershot_sd_series/powershot_sd600#DriversAndSoftware

and down load the drivers and software meant for your operating system.

Zoom Browser cannot recognize my Canon Powershot G3

It's very hard to troubleshoot software problems online, and it likely is a software issue. But why put up with the headaches of bad software in the first place? Please see the following post, as it describes the use of a card reader as a much easier, faster, and less error prone way to download your photos:

Videos and photos not all readable by computer when taken on Canon PowerShot A640

You will likely need to use the software that came with the Canon powershot vs. just trying to download via the default (scanner and camera wizard for example) program. If you are doing this already, then I don't know why it is not transferring them over to the computer properly, but if you are not using the Canon Zoombrowser software, you should make sure you load the cd that came with it.

Hope this helps!
