Fuser upper roller problem

Canon IR8500 Fuser upper roller has a bit missing all the way around about 1/4 " wide. I have no idea at this point what caused the ring of missing material around the roller. It prints but leaves a stripe of toner that is not fused and rubs off. Do I need to replace the fuser unit, the roller, or something else?

Apparently you just need the pressure roller, if noisy, you can change the bearing.
Good luck ...

ok if you are getting peices of rubber on the pabe it could be the fuser rollers.. this unit comes out easy.. looking at the unit there are 2 screws on both ends looking back at you... remove the screws and the unit lifts strait up once its out you can see the rollers much better. it is either comming apart or the teflon could be sliding off. if it looks ok you may need to run the paper thru slower it may not be fusing good 2 ways to do it try the bypass and select heavy 1 or you can set the cassette for heavy under add func common settings paper settings...

Canon ir2000 fusing unit film or top roller

This model has an upper fusing roller & a lower pressure roller.
If you have a print quality issue (that you have narrowed down to the fuser unit) then you will need to replace the upper fusing roller (not an easy job best to replace the fuser unit complete)

I use canon imagerunner 330. what happen when it says switch main power off and on. E010 do i have electrical problem or technical problem

The Error code E010 means that there is a drag on the main motor. I would look in the fuser unit & see if the lower fuser roller is damaged or that the cleaning web is wraped around the upper fuser roller. Also try to turn the fuser. You may have a siezed ball bearing. Also, try to remove the drum unit and close the door and see if the code is gone, if so you have a problem with the drum unit, but I would say it is in the fuser unit...... Good Luck

When printing, I see a vertical streak on the printed page, from top to bottom, about 2 1/4 inches from the left side of the paper, and about 1/16 of an inch wide. I can't seem to see what causes this. The...

This is more than likely down to the upper roller in the fuser assembly. It's the heat roller at the back of the printer. The upper roller wears so paper dust and toner stick to the roller which then can get deposited back on to the page.

You do have to release the back side of the drive
