Sansa 1g clip wont turn on.

I was listening to my sansa 1g mp3 player one day when the display screen just froze. It finally turned off after a day or so but now i can't even turn it on.. it was fully charged right before it froze, so I know that thats not the problem. Anyone know whats wrong or have a solution?

Did you try holding the power button on for ten seconds (the reset) after trying to charge it again? does it even power up when you plug it into the usb. if it powers on when connected to the usb and then shuts off immediately when you take it off the usb (rather than "refreshing database") then your battery is either 1)disconnected inside 2)dead or there may be issues with power management. Same thing happened to me (disconnected) but I soldered the loose connection and it only worked for two days, even checking the connections again. Now I don't know what's going on. It's more likely the battery has reached the end of its life.

Sansa clip 4 gb wont turn on

You probably already did this, but here is the proper method to change the backlight timer:
1. Press Menu button to return to the Main Menu.
2. Move to Settings and select it.
3. Select Display.
4. Select Backlight.
5. Press |<< or >>| button to select desired backlight timer.

Sansa clip 1gb froze

To reset your Clip, try holding the power slider switch in the "On" position for 15-30 seconds. Release the power switch once the unit begins to power down.

Frozen

Mine froze in play position, but no sound.

Here's what worked for me. Mine is the Sansa M250

1)Plugged the player into the PC and removed all the MP3s

2)Downloaded update program from Sansa link below

http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1376

3) Install the program

4) Plug the Sansa into your PC.

5) Program automatically starts and allows you to check for software update. Do so and let the program update your player.

Fixed my freeze problem. Player working perfectly now.
Hope this helps.

My mp3 player has froze

Maybe try taking the battery out and putting it back in, because once my mp3 player froze and that worked. It froze when I was going through menus when the song was playing still and it was probably too much...

It froze

Sansa Clip Player has some problem. I tried 4 sansa clip players (I purchased at Best Buy for Thanksgiving), and none of them work. Dont even try to exchange them, just return them back.
