Question about RCA HD52W56 52" Rear Projection HDTV

Not working I have an rca 52 proj. It all of a sudden just quit working. when you turn it on, there's a buzzing coming from the back, but no sound no picture.

Recheck r14705=27k@.5w???according to our prints bob.c.e.t.

Hd52w-- check r14705 for an open (should be 12k @ 1/2 watt... res. will probably break as you check it with a meter. if bad change (splitter}!! check Hor. Output for a short (Q 14401 ) it wiLL be bad. i advise replacing high voltage Xformer also (T 14401 ) make sure you cut leads to the proper lengths((not too long))..

The problem will be the deflection board (left hand side board when looking from back of unit.Part number is 258762 is no longer avaible thru rca but you can contact tristate module or pts electronics-you can even google the part number

Resolder all connections around fly back ( check for open pico fuse).
if still problem, replace convergence board.

Please see It sounds like your flyback transformer is not properly soldered down/is failing.

Yes ,your set like so many others is one of RCAs biggest mess i would say if under warranty get to service center fast!!!! other wise you might be one of the lucky ones that only needs power supply broad solder start with Flyback transfomer solder all pins.

RCA 52" Big Screen TV model;P52920BL Chassis;PTK195KB PICTURE BOWED AFTER FUSE BLOWN.

You have bad convergence IC's.. If your not experienced in troubleshooting electronics or soldering, you should have a trained tech take a gander at the set. Its not worth risking life and limb to save a few bucks, Good Luck
