SOURCE: fuel starvation mazda bongo

Bongo 2.5 Tdi. WL-T.
Everything fine untill 20 minutes after fueling up the engine started to run rough when stopped(at idle). I shut down. Couldn't restart. Next morning started up and ran fine. later on, wouldn't start easily and when it did couldn't rev above 800rpm. another time started but no power.
Seems like fuel starvation. I just bought the van and have sent away for workbook, fuel filter, glow plugs etc. Where is the fuel filter located? I see where the fuel line goes in to the FCU (or flow devider) is this where i should check presssure. I know a little about petrol engines but nothing about TDI. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Rowan

Yes it is the tool for fuel lines and ac lines. Your local autoparts store should have them, they are universal. You need to use the small end for the fuel filter.

SOURCE: Changing fuel filter on 2004 Cadillac SRX

If you go to the auto parts store they should have a fuel line disconnect tool that has a 5/16ths end an a 3/8ths end. The tool is shaped like an X. Before you start you need to pull the fuel pump fuse under the front of the REAR passenger side seat while the car is running and let it stall. it will release the built up pressure. This is important unless you want gas to spray every where. Then take the tool and start with the end of the filter with two lines. Place the appropriate end of the tool over the smallest inlet, push the tool in then pull the line towards the filter and then push the line away and it should disconnect. Do the same with line above. Then you can use the two appropriate size wrenches to disconnect the outlet end. reconnecting the new filter is simple just make sure your quick connect lines click in all the way and you tighten the outlet line well, I think its like 22 or 25 ft/lbs.

How do I change the oil filter on a MAZDA 6 4 CYL..

You don't need a special tool. Use a 6mm allen to remove the filter drain plug. It will probably start to spin the filter housing. You can remove the housing by hand or with a regular oil filter wrench.

Do I need a special tool to change a 2005 Excursion fuel filter?

I changed the fuel filter in my 04 explorer last week. You to need a special tool, it is just a little plastic tool that you slide onto the fuel line to release the clips holding the line onto the filter. If you know what your doing and have easy access to the filter, and most importantly...you enjoy doing the work then buy the tool and change the filter. By the way the tool ranges from $5 to $20, depending on what the part store has on their shelves.

Wheres the fule filter on a 97 b4000 mazda

It is on the frame rail about even with the drivers door, it is round and held in place by a gold colored bracket.
You need to know takes a special tool to release the fuel line from the filter, suggest you find a MAC or SNAP-ON tool dealer, they will have it, Ford parts dept may have them as well, the are also made by OTC tool. a good parts store like NAPA may have the tool, the one here does. You will need be careful, the were will be quite allot of pressurized fuel in the filter, would suggest removing the fuel pump relay (refer to owners manual under fuses) and running the engine until it stalls, this will release most of the pressure.
