Audio & video is not working

You downgrade from Vista to XP right?

Installing your audio drivers on XP:- ***important
You have to install the "Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) Bus Driver for High Definition Audio (sp33867)" first, before intalling the audio drivers Conexant CX20549-12 Audio Driver for Microsoft Windows XP (sp41836.exe).

If you reverse the procedure your audio won't work.

Hope it helps.

In my HP Notepad DV6500 I have downgraded from vista to xp.....now sound driver is not working ...need help

HP references a Conexant HD audio driver for your unit:

You should probably download and install this UAA driver first then download and install this Conexant HD driver (from a different model of notebook) from HP.

Post your results here should you need additional assistance.

Probleme download the audio

You need to jump onto Compaq/HP's website and browse the download area for your model of notebook. Then download the drivers you need (sound/modem/etc).

Run the executable for each, and this should automatically install the drivers you require.

I'd give you a link, but you need to know exactly which model you have. V3000 is just a range.. there will be a more specific model number on the underside of the notebook.

In order to install the HD Audio driver, you have to install the Microsoft HD Driver (Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) Bus Driver for High Definition Audio. that said, here's the XP driver for the sound:

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp33501-34000/sp33867.exe
