Try your headphones on another radio/receiver to check and see if it is the headphones that is bad. Usually, this happens when a wire comes loose on the headphones.
If the headphones works, then go to Control Panel >Sound and Audio Devices > On the first page, click the advance button > Along the top you will see Wave,Line in etc. Make sure that the balance is set in the middle, esp.on wave and line in.
