You might need to replace the connector cable.

SOURCE: philips dvd player not working

Im sorry to tell ya that you did all the things I would have suggested, so it sounds like a system control problem or a power supply problem, and if its a good machine then maybe its worth you having a service person look at it?? Most dvd units are not worth it these days, unless there combos or recorders.. Sorry couldnt be of more help.

SOURCE: SONY DVP-NS57P does not display video

If your TV has no input selector but has a video input, the TV probably "hides" the video input between the lowest channel on the tuner and the highest channel. That means if your tuner goes from channel 2 to channel 119, the video input will be between 119 and 2. The best way to see if this is the case is to slect channel 2 and then use the up/down channel selector to go down and see if you find the video input. Let me know if this works!

SOURCE: APEX Digital VCR&DVD PLAYER ADV-3800 will not play DVD's.

What it so far done, it looks pretty fine. I'd break apart the problem if is posible to do it, i mean maybe you have some other sets around the house or some friend who have them.

  • i'd test the dvd/vcr in a different tv
  • i'd test the tv with a different dvd
i would start over again the installation after this test.

the reason is to know if you can trust in those sets and second maybe with some other try the installation works

How do I hook up my dvd/vcr to the tv

On the back of the cinavision you have two groups of sockets. The yellow socket under Video out is picture. Red and white is sound. Connect them to the TV's yellow red white sockets marked Video In 1. This connection will give you picture and sound from either the VCR or the DVD deck.

There's a better picture quality available for DVDs only from the Component video out sockets (green red blue). Next to them is another set of audio sockets (red white). Connect all five sockets to the TV's input number 2. The colours match up. The picture from Component will be clearer and sharper.

On your Sharp TV remote, select Video 1 to watch VCR, and Video 2 to watch DVDs.

My daughter sat on her JVC tv/DVD combo LTdd42J remote and now her DVD's only play in black and white, when watching the TV the colour is fine. I have tried looking in the settings but cannot fin

Cable damage is the first thing to check. If the cable is external this is an easy check by trying a new one. Otherwise it is probably internal cable damage or damage to the video output plug.

How to you conect a kawasaki dvd to a hd tv

The best connection the kawasaki dvd has is a Component connection. This connection separates the Red, Green and Blue colour signals. Your HD TV should have a component input, just look for Red, Green and Blue RCA inputs labelled "Pr", "Pb", and "Y".
You don't need the red, green, and blue colored RCA's specifically for this type of connection. The colors are there to help make it easier to connect. You can use any coloured RCA as long as you have the Pr on the DVD connected to the Pr on the TV and likewise for the other two connections.
In addition to these connections you will need two more RCA's (Red and White) for the audio signal. You will need to connect the audio output of the DVD, to the audio input corresponding to the same Component Video input you are using for Video. This should be fairly self explanatory when looking at the DVD's and TV's connections at the back.

Dvd is playing movies in black and white

Hi
use red/white/Yellow cables to connect to a loose hard diskon which I keep films, TV-serials and talking books. The colour is fine.

But I connect the DVD to the TV with a scart cable.

Hope you get your colour

Dvd playing blue picture

if it is hooked up with componant, thats the red blue green cables for video, and red white for audio, then you probabily eather dont have the red pluged all the way in, or you have the red audio, and red video---reversed, make sure to check them on the dvd player, and on the tv, if there correct, try using the composit input, that is the yellow red and white

Picture only shows in black & white when playing DVD

Same problem with an older JVC player. One end of the S-video cable was loose. Pushed in in tight and everything ok again. Cheap fix if it works for you.
