Question about Kenmore Elite 22.4 cu. ft. Bottom Freezer Refrigerator with Adjusta Cube Ice Maker
My old and until now very good Kenmore with freezer on top has developed a leak that gathers water under the veggie bins on the bottom floor of the fridge.
My husband and I pull it out from the wall occasionally and vacuum the coils and all the places we can get to back there.
Is there something that might need tightened or since it's inside the unit that it may be a condensation issue?
It takes a couple days to gather about a cup of water.
I'd like to get it fixed rather than replace it.
Common issue.....sounds like a drain clog in the freezer compartment above. remove the freezer rear panel and totally defrost the evaporator area, directly under the evap you see( under all taht ice) a small drain hole that has become frozen over, try defrosting with either a hair dryer( not a heat gun too much heat youl melt everything) or by pouring hot water donw the drain until you get a free flow of water down the tube. after its clear reassemble and you should be fine
