Changing a belt on roper top load washer

two screws to flip up top control panel. 2 clips to take off case. remove pump. then remove motor and change coupling. reassemble.

the top loader dont have a belt they have direct drive they use a transmission,you may be experencing clutch slippage,if that the case you may want to get a new washer

There is no belt on this machine.
It uses a direct drive coupling between the motor and transmission.
Ope the control console,then remove the cabinet clips to remove the cabinet for access to the motor.
Remove the motor then remove the broken drive coupling(3 parts).
Replace the part and re-assemble the washer.

Newer models use a direct drive system with a Motor Coupler instead of a belt.

raise top houseing use flat head screw driver to pry up,make sure its unpluged.

DO NOT TAKE THE BACK OFF!! Remove the top by pulling up at the seam towards the front.

exact same as a whirlpool, for they own roper, amanas do not have couplers..... the kenmore might if the model starts with 110.********* or 118.*********

probable pull machine out from wall check underneath for belt
yuo may have to remove motor to fit correct belt to this machine
