Question about Optics
Unable to replace batteries and afraid that I will damage the plactic battery housing. There does appear to be a slot for a tool to assist with opening, but do not have this tool. Any help or business in the Dallas area that could replace these batteries without damaging appreciated.
P.S. Who is the manufacturer of this product?

If you're sure that the batteries are full, then the power board has to be changed. It's the first board under back cover, with the buttons on the other side of it. Contact your local Canon service center. If they ask very much, you can contact me firstname.lastname@example.org and I can give you a price - I have access to new Canon parts.
