Question about Washing Machines

1 Answer

Hi,we have aBeko WMA 1512 Eco case washing machine,it is coming up for 2yrs old. It will take on water and the control switche moves as required to empty, but drum does not move,it's like it goes through the motions but the circuitry does not tell the drum to move. I have checked the connections and visualy looked at the board, but cant see anything wrong, as I say it takes on water and gets rid of it ok. Belt seems fine and tensioned. Any ideas?

I suggest the next step is to check the motor brushes. Take belt off and undo bolt at right hand side of motor .Allow motor to pivot down and then pull to remove. Brushes are located at back of motor in plastic housings. If worn down to housing they will need replacing. Any problems dont hesitate to ask.

2 wks old on a eco wash and after 2 hours still running. is this right?

Hi!

Yes, it is OK, eco wash means less heating energy and less water, but in order to do the dishes clean, it requires more time.

My beko eco care wma 1512 w will not drain on a cycle..i have to keep clicking the dial to a drain programme several time before it spins

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
(try this!)
I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Here are my complete guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
-------------------------------------

If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and most are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play!

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!

Hope the filter is the problem and good luck!

Morning, I have a Fisher and Paykal intuitive eco washing machine that continually beeps 'No cold water'. What would cause this. Thanks

Hi just read your posting. Now have you removed the cold water inlet hose from the machine end and checked to see if the water is coming from the tap and throe the hose?If you have then the fault could be faulty Water Valve,or faulty Control Module. Please reply and confirm whether you have cold water coming from your cold water tap or not and I can guide you throe the repair of this fault.

Beko wma 1512 s washing mashine not spinning

I've just had the same problem, replaced the brushes and the problem was still there, i then cleaned out the filter, it was really clogged up, this fixed the fault, you will also need a couple of towels to soak up the water from the filter, if the machine can't empty all the water from the filter it stays there and will not move on to the next cycle thus making you think it may be a pcb fault, please clean the filter before spending money on new brushes and/or new module or getting an engineer out to it at cost to you, please also ensure you remove the plug from the wall socket before you attempt to fix any electrical appliance,

Here are the eco related error codes for your washer..
1)Light 3 (eco) flashes. Water is present in the flood catching tray at the bottom which usually indicates that there is a leak somewhere. More often than not this is just a pipe with a poor fitting and simply tightening the clip is enough to stop the leak. Our machine had a very slow leak from one pipe (not enough to trigger the alarm) which was fixed in this way. The leak is detected by a small float switch located in the flood catch tray.

Undo 4 screws on the metal plate under the dishwasher 3 at the front 1 at the back, this reveals The pump check the seals are in place on the waste pump.

2) Wash indicator lights 3 + 5 (eco + pre) flashing rapidly. Filter is clogged. Pull out the filter and clean it.
3)Runs for approx. 3 minutes and then stops. Lights 3 + 4 (eco and fast) flash. Probably caused by being plumbed into a hot rather than cold water supply. The incoming water is hotter than required for the wash which causes the machine to cut out. Plumbing the machine into a cold water supply will fix the problem with no apparent long term problems.
