Screen light is not working (by 10 users)
The phone was dropped and now the screen light does not lit anymore. The phone works fine and the keyboard light turns on too. The screen also works fine except that it is difficult to see in the evening without the bagkground light. Any suggestions as what the problem may be and how to fix it would be greatly appreciated.

My TracFone has no light on the screen. The buttons light up, but not the screen. Is there a solutio?

my v80 was stepped on and cracked the screen. got it repaired, the tech replaced the screen but u can not see the icons unless u turn it to the side and thats barely.
I talked to a tech guy over the phone, he thought it was an issue with the back light (behind the screen). took the phone to another repairs guy, he said that its a small paper thin wire that is broke and that’s a problem with all Motorola phones, including the razer. since the phone is rare in the states parts are hard to come by. He also suggested that I take to a particular repair shop….i told him that was the first place I took the phone.
what to do???

i don't know what's going on with my background light/contrast. it's terrible...a gray, dull screen with white letters/pictures for every letter/image. it started messing up sometimes within a day or two of buying the phone and now it's permanently screwed. i am so pissed.

it sound like the lcd screen might be damaged or the ribon.send your fone to these guys http://www.mobilephoneservicecentre.co.u... they dont charge anything to have a look and will tel ya wats wrong with it.

my backlight wont come on, and before that my phone display would show upside down. i havent dropped it gotten water on it or abused it whatsoever

I have the same problem with the backlight on the i850 screen not working. All other functions and the front screen and keypad lights work. It started out as an intermittent problem but has turned into a full time problem. When it was intermittent you could press slightly on the top half of the screen and the backlight would come on. Any suggestions?
