this could be a leaky picture tube. will require a crt rejuvination machine to clean the tube elements

The horizontal or vertical output transistors could be suspect in this case.

Kindly check voltages at Collector pin of H-Out transistor, If not....Usualy, there is fuseable resistor for safty in power line to H-Out transistor. Its value approx 1 ohms 2 watts rating. Please find it and replace it.

Sony FD Trinitron Vega 2004 Stanby Flashes TV will not turn on


This unit shouldb e flashing a repeated count on the standby light. That count will indicate the circuit in which a problem was detected causig the shutdown. Please post that count and we should be able to provide details on the repair.
