My problem occured after the last authorization. The unit will charge but I will not be able to authorize it prior to the next license expiration. With no player, there is no need to subscribe to Rhapsody to go.

I have the same problem. it's not the cable or the computer. I have 2 cables, and several computers to try it on, and all did the same thing. it will charge on the USB, but it will not connect as a USB drive,

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Charging pro

I believe the cable is the charger. I have an e250 which charges from the computer. Simply connect the player to the computer using the cable, and when the player is detected by the computer - it is charging!

My friend have a different charger though, but she bought it from the store.

Cant detect the device

Most likely why that isn't working correctly is because your usb port on your computer is most likely bad... I know someone who had the same problem and once she plugged the player into another usb port it worked like a charm.

Sansa mp3 player could not detect micro sd add on card

I believe you can fix it by going on the player, then to settings, then to USB mode, and switching it from MTP to MSC. If you're in MSC already and it fails to recognize, then I don't know. :(
