Re: No Power up??
You could have a bad high voltage transformer AKA a flyback. This set could have also one of a dozen or so problems. If you have any electronic repair experience, first get a service manual and start from there. If you do not Please play it safe as there are no user replaceable parts insiide this set As this TV set is not the place to be experiementing around the inside of. Call in a tech. Good Luck

When u turn the tv on,u hear alot of clicking? That mean the Ballast that help the projection bulb to work is dead.Change the Ballast, might as well change the bulb too.U don't know what is the condition of the projection bulb in.
Pull off the back pressboard. At the bottom left hand corner is the power cord that attaches to the power supply board. There is a white plug that attaches directly to the power cord. With the TV power off, pull this white plug up to disconnect. Then push it back in. Then plug your TV back in and press the power button on the front of the TV. I just did this and it is working fine.
You should always have all expensive electronics on a surge protector. It sounds like for this set the power regulators blown out as I know this set very well and seen it a hundred times!! its a power regulator IC that cant handle a power surge at all. and if thats your only problem, it shouldnt cost more then 175.00 to 250.00 to repair. Now with a surge though there could be other problems as well but from what you stated Im guessing alls ok except what i stated. Now Please do not attempt to repair yoursels, as these sets have alot of Hi voltage inside them even when they are unplugged.. Good Luck
