Links won't open on clik in google chrome

I have to copy and paste the links people are sending me on yahoo messenger in order to reach them. If i click on them, they won't open, not even the buttons fot my email and others. If they have a youtube link on their status, i am not able to see it because i can not copy it and if i click on it, it is useless..i tried to uninstall the messenger but still doesn;t work. Can anyone help, please?

Uninstalling Google Chrome has ruined my yahoo messenger. i cannot find a solution. I can't stand Google Chrome. The only way to fix my yahoo messenger is to reinstall G-Chrome -- I don't want it. It's too aggressive and made itself the default window/browser when i would click on icons such as the "mail" envelope in Y-messenger. I hate Google Chrome -- The Browser stinks -- I hate microsoft too, but it's a 1000x better than G-Chrome. Any ideas? Google will not respond to the problem and i have not found any posted solutions. I am using Vista 64 Bit

I am having the same problem, because I didn't like Chroms, so I uninstalled it and now links don't work on my Windows Live messenger

I also noticed that Chrome had made its way into default browser for EVERYTHING on my computer, including replacing existing icons, and I wasn't promted to allow it.. so I'm having a lot of other problems.

Im still using chrome, and any links outside of chrome, if the brower is closed, open chrome with a blue screen saying Aw Snap! and only open if i have chrome already up or if i copy and paste the link.

I installed Google Chrome to try it out. However, I decided I didn't really enjoy it, so now that I've uninstalled it, my Windows sidebar (Sky News gadget) links can't open the Internet, with error message "Application not found".

First make sure that Google Chrome is set as your default web browser. if this doesn't solve anything the problem is from ym not from the browser. To fix this (it worked for me) open y messenger and log in, go to preferences-->General-->uncheck the box near "Open web links in a new browser window"--> hit OK. Hope this will help!!!

  3. under Protocols, there highlight "HTTP" and click Change program.

I had the same problem (Windows XP).
I solved it this way:
Yahoo Messenger -> Messenger-> Preferences-> General uncheck the check box "Open web links in a new browser window"
And in Google Chrome, clicking on the spanner in the right corner (Customize and control) -> Options -> Click on the big button "Make Google Chrome my default browser"

It works like a charm!!

When i signin to yahoo messenger i get a mail notification and when i click on it, it says ' window cannot find - http:/ and bla bla.

Hi Ragaikaras,

Try reinstalling Google chrome to the latest version and try Logging in with Yahoo again.
if the problem persists, try updating your PC to the latest updates and reinstall google chrome once again.

try logging with another browser ( eg. Opera Browser, Internet Explorer, Mozilla firefox ) if the other browsers do not work then try using the Yahoo Messenger and try accessing your email from there.
i hope this helps, good luck!

How does one forward links by e-mail from Chrome?

Right click the link which is to be sent.
choose copy (or copy link, or copy link location, or such like depending on the version)

Open up an email and right click in the body of the message and choose paste.

Simple as that!

When I try to open my yahoo mail or use the other applications from yahoo messenger, I get an error message saying application not found or reset cookies? What is going on with this? How do I fix these...

It is due to some of the unwanted cookies being harassing you. Just open Google Chrome and delete all the cookies by pressing Ctrl+Shift+Delete or just do the disk cleanup of your pc and then login.
Thats all.

I've never used Google Chrome but believe if you uninstall Yahoo Messenger. Then re-download and reinstall it(Yahoo Messenger) that it should remedy your problem since Google Chrome is now removed.
