The first thing that you should try is to clean the lens. there are many dvd lens cleaner in the marker and online (EBay) . and also let know how old is this dvd player.

Jvc ht-xvc20u VCR/DVD combo player says "incorrect disc" error message every disc i try.

Have you tried a cleaner yet? It could be something as basic as needing the lens/compartment cleaned. They sell these kits at most retailers for less than $20. It is also possible them lens itself got scratched or cracked, especially of you've moved the unit recently. 5_19_2014_1_13_30_pm.png

When loading time occurs it does not read the cd

They say these things are sent to try us and a dvd that will npt play a disc certainly dose that, but if we can understand the nature of the beast we can get the better of it. The first thing after loading is for the dvd to recognise the disc and it dose this by first finding focus. It dose this several times before giving up. If it finds focus it will then rotate the disc and read the TOC (table of contents). It would seem that your dvd cannot find focus. Most likley cause is a dirty laser lens. Cleaning the lens with a cotton bud will in
most cases effect a cure. If not a low emission laser may be the culprit. When cleaning the optic lens take extreem care the lens mountings are easily damaged. If lens cleaning dose not solve your problems it would be wise to seek advice from your local service technician.

DR-MV100B will not read disc

It could be a dirty laser. Try running one of those laser cleaning disks through it. That might help

first of all check the region of the DVD player & the DVD disc. Well, you could try this link, to help you crack the region restrictions on your DVD Player.

Incorrect disc message

You might try using rubbing alcohol and a q-tip on the lens to clean it.

Disc error

Assuming you've tried regular nonrecorded DVD discs, there are many things that can cause this:

Dirty or defective laser. (try a cleaning disc).
Disc not spinning.
Laser not moving on slide rail.

I would at least try cleaning the laser lens before giving up.

Hope that helps...
