DGB-600 Keeps shutting off before coffee is ready

Our 4-5 year old Cusinart DGB-600BCC keeps shutting off before all the water has run through the machine. We have to restart it up to 6 times to get the water to finish running through.
There is minimal access from the outside (only 2 or 3 screws) so I don't know where to look inside. We have cleaned it with CLR and scrubbed out the filter and water intake.
Granted it is about 5 years old but its a $200 machine!
