Hi ya, yeah, my first suggestion would have been to change the CMOS battery, and if you are sure that the one you replaced is new and well charged, then the next thing I would be checking is the time in the system BIOS (rather than using Windows). If you know how to access the BIOS then try changing the time there and then reboot. Power off your computer and turn it off at the wall for a minute or two and then turn everything on again. If your date and time are still correct then you've no more problem (hopefully!). If however, your date and time still change afterwards upon leaving Windows, it is -possible- that there is a 3rd party application on your system that is changing your time/date. If you want to count this possibility out, then take a look at any of the icons in the bottom right of your windows toolbar (beside the clock) to see if there are any new/weird applications running that have anything to do with time or date (some applications adjust your date and time based on your locale and a server on the internet to save you the trouble of ever wondering if your time is right etc.)

Hope this helps point you in the right direction.

:)

How do i set the time and date

Hi
Note If you press Start Fax Color but the sender sent the fax in black and
white, the HP all-in-one prints the fax in black and white.
Set the date and time
You can set the date and time from the control panel. When a fax is transmitted, the
current date and time are printed along with the fax header. The date and time format
is based on the language and country/region setting.
Note If your HP all-in-one loses power, you will need to reset the date and time.
1 Press Setup.
2 Press 4, and then press 1.
This selects Basic Fax Setup and then selects Date and Time.
3 Enter the month, day, and year by pressing the appropriate numbers on the
keypad. Depending on your country/region setting, you might enter the date in a
different order.
The underline cursor is presented initially beneath the first digit; it automatically
advances to the next digit when you press a button. The time prompt
automatically appears after you enter the last digit of the date.
4 Enter the hours and minutes.
5 If your time is displayed in the 12-hour format, press 1 for AM, or 2 for PM.
The new date and time settings appear on the control panel display.

My computer went back to older clock date as 1610

try starting your computer in safe mode and see if you can do anything productive there, like scanning for viruses or spyware. also check if you can do the following:
CTRL+ALT+DEL (open task manager)
goto Start>Run>Regedit (open registry editor)
goto Start>Control Panel>Display>Properties (change display settings)
right click on clock at tray and change the current time to correct settings

if you cannot do any of these activities, then your computer may probably been compromised by a virus or malware.

Time

This should take care of it for you.

NOTE: The current date and time are displayed on the LCD when the machine is ON and ready for use (Standby mode). The date and time are printed on all faxes that are sent. When the machine is installed for the first time, the LCD will prompt for the date and time to be set.
  1. Press the [Setup] button on the Control Panel. 'Fax Number / Name' will be displayed on the LCD.
  2. Press the left or right arrow button until 'Time / Date Setup' is displayed, then press the [Start / Enter] button to access the Time / Date Setup menu. The LCD will prompt you to select a Date Format.
  3. Press the [Start / Enter] button.
  4. Press the left or right arrow button to select the required date format, then press [Start / Enter]. The LCD will display the currently set date and time using the selected date format and prompt to set the month. The cursor will be under the first digit of the month and the number will blink.

NOTE: If you select USA, the date will be displayed in the format of Month-Day-Year. If you select Europe, the date will be displayed in the format of Day-Month-Year.

  5. Enter the correct date using the numeric keypad on the Control Panel. Each time you enter the appropriate number, the LCD will prompt for the next item to be entered in the following order: month, day, year, hour, and minute.
  6. Enter the correct time in 24-hour format using the numeric keypad. For example, enter 22:30 for 10:30 P.M. If an invalid number is entered, the LCD will not proceed to the next step. Re-enter the correct number.
  7. Press the [Start / Enter] button to save the setting and return to the Standby mode. The LCD will display the date and that has been set.
