I'm having the same problem. Here is the description

In device manager it says no hardware device found. Does it mean the on-board sound card is faulty?
Can you suggest me the compatible pci sound card for intel d865gbf motherboard?

Disable the onboard sound car in cmos , then plug in a pci slot fitting sound card, reboot, windows will report new hardware found, load the drivers, restart for changes to take effect, job done.

D845GVAD2 mother board

Well if you want to keep your processor than you'll want to search for a motherboard with the same Socket type. You'll need to know exactly what kind of processor you have. If you have the box you can find out that way. Assuming you put it together your yourself. Or if you really have no clue. You can remove the heatsink off the CPU. And the socket label will be written right under that. (examples could be.. socket A.. socket 378.. Socket 754).

Once you find that. You can find a motherboard with that type and just ensure that it supports your processor and you'll be good to go.

Usb and sound problem intel D845GVAD2 mother board

Did you get into the bios and turn the appropriate things on, the usp should be in the bios, is this a new board? And the sound is probablly a Realtek on board sound, that also must be enabled in the bios, and you need to run your motherboard disk and make sure that you instal all of the drivers, it could be just the disk, since I don't know if this is a new install or a board that you had up and running, All I can do is give you my best 2 guesses without being able to see it, if I hit it on the head please rate me as such, Good luck, and Peace be with you my friend

No Video

Hi Keith, the Intel D845GVAD2 board uses an integrated graphics card for video & also uses your system memory to function.
Suggest, you remove the system memory & clean the contacts with alcohol. (Allow time for the alcohol to dry). Blow the memory slots out with canned air to remove any dust build up. Reseat your memory & boot the system. (No display)?
From your description it sounds like the integrated graphics controller may be bad. The only way to test this would be to add a PCI video card to the system.
The board’s bios uses auto detect. If you add a PCI graphics card to the system the bios should auto detect the PCI video card & load display.
There is a chance that the controller is too damaged & the bios will not see the PCI graphics add in card. In this case the board would be considered bad. If you have a local computer shop or know of someone who may (have a known to be good) PCI video card, you can ask to borrow it & test your system for video display.
Here is a link to an inexpensive PCI card:

Intel's web site, downloads for the board D845GVAD2:

Good luck Keith!
