Loud clicking sound from Epson V350

Aloha,

My 6-month-old V350 scanner suddenly started making a loud clicking sound while scanning as if a gear were slipping. Scan is streaked so the carrier is not sliding smoothly.

Preview mode seems to work fine . . . this just happens when I hit ''SCAN.''
