I HAVE REPLACED THE LAMP BUT I STILL HAVE THE RED LIGHT ON WHEN I PUT IT ON. WHAT SHOULD I DO
I had this same issue... until i read page 63 of the epson manual: http://files.support.epson.com/pdf/pls3__/pls3__u1.pdf where it says that the cover has to be put back on for it to work.I was 'testing' it without the cover and it give the same lamp flashing red light indicator.
Just in case you dont have the instruction manual for this model (which does cover the problem you outline). Download the Zip File from Epson and open the Folder "Manual" and then open the file "English". Start at about page No;47 for this problem I have included a Link (below) direct to the Epson support page for you, it's 3.64 meg of a download.............Hope this helps........Let me know? ftp://download.epson-europe.com/pub/download/229/epson22945eu.zip
Is there a lamp counter reset in the instruction manual?

SOURCE: epson emp s4 red temp light comes on and projector
Hi, Please all wiring and connectors for malfunction.
SOURCE: After i replaced the lamp on my epson emp tw700,
My tw-700 warning light was flashing red (1sec) and this is what I did to fix it.
Take the top cover of the projector, you will see the PCB on top of everything.
Remove the PCB, be careful when disconnecting the ribbon cables.
Looking from the rear of the projector, you will see a metal bar held on by
2 black screws just in front of the lamp. remove this bar which is holding in a
small plastic door that has glass in the middle.
Remove this plastic door and lubricate the bottom of it with some high temp
grease. now put it all back together and with a bit of luck and if you plugged
everything back in properly, it should work.
This worked for my red light problem anyway, hope it helps you.

Mine has the very same thing. I replaced the bulb but the lamp keeps flashing red. I called Epson and the unit is out of warrenty. They suggested I get the exact purchase date and call them back. They will provide service technician name in our area but it is up to us to pay for it. I'm hoping I do not have to go that route.
