Use network manager to configure the network connection via phone. Right click on NetworkManager and select Mobile Broadband, click on add button and create a new device.

Once the device is setup, click on it and edit. Now add your phone number (mobile) in username, and password field. Now your device is ready to use.

Connect your mobile to the computer, click on NetworkManager, and select the device you have set up. That's it!

I want to start internet in 4 computers what can i do for. i have a bsnl broadband connention. PLz help me

Hi Friend, In this case I would recommend you to please check if the BSNL modem is the wireless modem or the Wired modem. If it is a wireless modem then you can connect your system wirelessly to internet , provided that the laptop has the wireless card in it.
If it is a wired modem then you can connect your system with the LAN cable to that modem in each slots to get connected to the Internet.

How to connect 2nd computer to internet from bsnl type2 modem modelzxdsl 531b through ethernet cable

Its simple
1. connect a lan cable from ur modem to ethernet switch(For ex: 4-port)
2. Take 2 cables from ur switch ports and connect it to ur Pc's
3. Configure DHCP on your modems. So that ur pc's obtain ip address automatically from ur modem.

This is how u connect multiple computers to internet by a single internet connection

Fedora 10

Depends on what you are using it for.

I think personally, thats better if you wait.

Since there not even all repositories able to serve the Fedora 9.

Fedora Add Software Error

Try using Yum instead of the graphical add/remove thing. If yum can't automatically find the repository then edit this location :
/etc/yum.repos.d/

the command line option to install is :

#yum install your_desired_package

Hope this will help

Low bandwidth in linux

Bandwidth is related to several factors:
- dedicated vs shared "on-ramp" (DSL is dedicated, good)
- Ethernet card used in the machine (single vs. dual buffers and piplining vs non) - don't know but it may be the card, more expensive cards are often worth the cost.
- drivers for the cards. If the Linux drivers (older than the Windows versions usually) don't allow for the dual buffers or piplining capability then you won't get the rated speed.

You may also have issues with the wrong drivers for your card. It may work but not work well - timing is everything with drivers.

Your description says that with another machine (a different card and drivers) it almost works. It is NOT the operating system. Typically Linux is faster on most things than Windows. It is NOT the BNSL provider. Has to be the card or its drivers.
