Question about Dishwashers

1 Answer

I heard a clicking like sparks in the cupbord where the dishwasher plug is and the dishwasher stopped. I changed the fuse but the standby light is on (it never actually went out), Despite changing the fuse the dishwasher will not ome on.

I would undo the housing where the dishwashers installs, its possible that the main connection has "shorted out"

Change the pick-up coil. You have to remove the distributor to do it.
Cheapest way is to buy a reman distributor and just replace it. Just remember which way the rotor is facing before you remove it.

If the green light is not lighting up, you will need to check out the standby power supply inside the TV set, or if this set has a DM board, you will need to change the capacitors. Good Luck

Power light blinking on nv53a gateway

Your Gateway laptop comes with a series of LED lights that alert you to the state of your computer. You'll notice there are blue, purple and red lights that either blink or display solidly. Each light, blinking or solid, has a different meaning. The blue blinking light on your laptop indicates that it is in Standby mode. Your laptop goes into Standby when you close its lid without shutting down the computer. To turn this light off, you'll need to take the computer out of Standby mode, and if you want to ensure that the blinking blue light does not return, shut down the computer after each use.

Open the lid of your Gateway laptop and press the power button. Once Windows loads, enter your password if required. The blue light will no longer be blinking because the computer is no longer in Standby mode. Shut the laptop off when you finish using it rather than simply closing the lid to stop the blue light from blinking again. Click "Start" from your Windows desktop and click "Shut down." Change your computer's power settings to keep if from going into Standby mode when you close the lid if you'd rather not shut down your computer every time you use it. Click "Start" and click "Control Panel." Click "System and Security" and then click "Power Options." Click "Choose what closing the lid does" from the list of options on the left side of the window. Select "Hibernate" from the drop-down lists under "On Battery" and "Plugged In." Click "Save Changes." Your laptop will now bypass Standby mode when you close the lid and it will enter Hibernate mode instead. Hope it helps.

My wife started the dishwasher normally. Water

Quite possibly something lodged in the pump, locking it up. Control sensors don't advance timer because unit is not running.

Change the thermal fuse in the control and door switches. The thermal fuse is designed to fail if there is a problem with the switches.

Won't turn on. Plug is fine. Remote is fine. No standby light. No click when remote ON is pressed. Set is 7 yrs old, never been moved, no other problems ever.

If you are sure that the a/c outlet is good, try another. No lights, no clicks your main fuse in your unit may be open. CAUTION: if you replace main fuse with same value & it opens again. STOP and call a servicer. You might have shorted electronic devises in the main a/c circuits. Always call a service company that is factory authorised to service your product. Good luck.
