You can reset the factory defaults, then login using the original username and password.
To reset the Wireless Routing Center to factory defaults, insert a straightened paper clip into the Load Default hole on the back of the router to press the button. Keep pressing and turn the Wireless Routing Center off and on. Wait for at least five seconds before you release the button. Then wait for the Wireless Routing Center to finish booting.
By default, the user name is admin and the password is password.
If you forgot your password on your router, you can always put on fabric settings, just hold little button behind your router for 5 to 10 secconds, then restart router, and you will put it back on fabric settings.
You want to secure the wireless network. Is there any computer connected to the router with the Ethernet cable? If not then you will need to connect the computer to the router with the cable. Check the IP address on the computer. Open the router set up page. Once you open the set up page, you will find the option to make it secured Click Here for step by step instructions
hook computer up to router with the eithernet cable first, then in internet address bar, type 192.168.1.1 Then this will bring you to your router configuration page. If it does ask you for username and password and you have not set it up yet, then try using Username: admin Pass: admin
This MAC is MEDIA ACCESS CODE assigned by manufacturer to every device used on any network is format is 6 couple of Hex value. Check my tip for detail on how to work with WLAN
theres a possiblity that the modem is set to bridge mode,in that way,you will not be able to connect to the internet direclty to the modem,192.168.1.1 is usually the deault gatewayy address for almost all verizon modem and username is admin and password is admin as well,if admin didnt take for the password, try using password as the password
lets get the picture right. laptop connects to a wireless router. then u want to plug into laptop ethernet wan port of linksys ? you have to set router manual settings to gateway which is ip of toshiba... this is a fun topic. ive connected xbox360 to laptop this way.. never tried router. "fun times ahead!"
If that is the DG, then it should get you to the Web Config Tool. But... These devices sometimes come out of the factory with the Web Config Interface turned OFF, so the best you will be able to do is to either Telnet to it, or find the reset switch, which will reset it to the factory default configuration... If you are going to sell it, I would just reset it myself...
From the looks of the features included with this, the reset switch is on the back panel.. Once it is reset, you may even be able to get to the Web Interface again...
I'm not sure what you mean by "connection sequence".
If the modem is on, and the router is set up properly, it makes no difference what's turned on next.
The wiring sequence should be simple:
Modem to Internet or WAN port on the router, any
LAN port to the computer ethernet port.
