Question about Televison & Video
Hello I have an Insignia 50'' plasma tv (NS-PDP50) and sometimes I see like red dots on the screen like snow? they seem to move around and have no particular pattern. I usually see this in dark areas of the screen. And it is not the input device or cable because it happens with all inputs.
what you can do is take off the back pannel and there is a cord on the top of the board that looks like a computer board, there are many boards in the TV but the one I am talking about is twords the bottom where the video jacks plug in to the TV. Ok once you have located the pannel there is a cord on the top kinda tword the right side, it is many wires inside a black covering. What you need to do is just simply unplug it and plug it back in, do this as many times to try to get it to fix the problem.

SOURCE: Red Dots
This is know as diffusion. You will need to locate the Vs adjustment inside the TV and vary it up and down by NO MORE THAN 10 volts. If this does not correct the problem then you will need to replace the Plasma panel.
