That happens to me as well. I had a recent paper jam, and before the jam it would only move to the left and right and then stop. Now it makes weird clunking noises.

Error paper jam

It is possible that there is a little peice of paper that has ripped off of the sheet that was jammed. Was the sheet whole when you removed it? If not, check the location where the paper was jammed for bits of the last sheet of paper.

Printer screen showing paper jam. There is no paper jam.

Hi, this is a well worn path.

I know its a bore, but follow this, with your CSI Torch open up the rear access covers and look in carefully look. Satisfied replace cover, lift scanner lid, again using your CSI Torch check out the print area for a little peice of offending paper, if needs be try moving the rollers but gentle.

If no, left side hidden away, gentle move the print head carrige to the left there is every possibilty you will find a sodden inkedpeice causing the problem.

If still no paper, then as a lasrt resort reinstall the printer prog, it could be corrupt.

Did you have a paper jam that cased the original error message, if so then the odds are there is a little peice causing the problem. Good Luck.

Peter.

My 2600n laser printer had a paper jam in the outbox bin. I took the stuck paper out and had a look inside. I see no other paper jam but the printer keeps telling me I have a paper jam in the outbox. ...

There is a sensor flag (little black peice) that hangs down in the paper path as the paper exits. The flag tells the printer if the paper has made it out or not. That sounds like your problem. Just in case it is something else, her's a copy of the complete service manual for your printer. Start on page 90 (pdf page 113) and it goes thru the jam areas.

Paper jam in the roller

Turn the printer off. Open up the front and back compartments an pull out anything that is easily removeable. See if you can see the paper. If you can you can grip it firmly from 2 sides and pull it straight out. I've actually managed to get paper out a tiny bit at a time once in lots of little peices. Took ages, so try not to rip it.

Toshiba estudio 200 keeps having false paper jams where are paper sensors located?

its not the paper sensors you need to get to its the feed rollers, which will be above the paper tray near either the left or right side of machine. clean those with glass cleaner. if they appear smooth in any way they should be replaced, keep old ones to compare. what you are referring to as false jams we in the copier world call the "ghost jams"

Hi, I'm Ron a Disabled Frustated Senior Citizen. I have or the AX is going to get it. HP Photosmart 8050. 1, ONE Peice of paper Jamed. Now the RED Light is Blinking? No Idea. Also it says Print Cartridge...

1. Turn the printer off and open the access cover.
2. Look for any obstructions in the paper path and remove them if necessary. (It is possible to move the carrier assembly with the power off.)
3. Turn the printer on, load some paper, and press the Form Feed button.
4. Watch the paper as it feeds through and try to determine where the jam is occurring.
5. Check to see if all the rollers are turning.

If all the rollers are turning, there may be something in the feed path that you can't see. Go to step 6.
If not, there is probably a feed motor or a gear problem and the printer may require service.
6. If the paper is jamming under the carrier assembly, you may be able to fix it using the manual feed slot.
7. Turn the printer off.
8. Take a #10 envelope and feed it through the left side of the manual feed slot until it comes right through the printer to the back of the exit rollers.
9. Move it up and down first, and then slowly move it over to the right side. If something is stuck under the black guide plate, this may work it loose.

Good luck..

Paper jam

You need to take out your paper tray and ink cartridges and make sure the power is off. You should also be able to remove the lid so that you can clearly see the paper path. Do not **** on the paper with a great deal of force because you may dislodge something more than just the paper. You may have to remove any covers that obstruct your view of the paper path. Just be careful and take your time and remove it a little at a time if necessary. With the power off the rollers that it goes over should move freely and you can turn it by hand to feed the pieces of paper manually through.

I have a HP OFficjet 7210 All-in-one that keeps jamming.

Clean the pickup rollers and ensure that there isn't a small peice of paper lodged between them. I use a product called "rubber renew", it removes the dust, dirt, etc. and eats away someof the rubber to make it rough again.

Carriage Jam -- Paper Jam

I have serviced an officejet pro L7580 which was showing a paper jam error when powered on. our customer had had a paper jam and removed the paper . I found small peices of paper in the pick up assy gears. If you remove the rear door, you need to check the 2 small white gears on the left. turn the roller slowly by hand and clear any paper stuck between the teeth. (they may be very small).

after doing this....no more paper jam errors for me!
