I'm having this same problem- but mine started doing this AFTER I played it for 4 years!! I closed my laptop lid for a week, and I "Continued With System Resume" and now it wont work! I've tried all the **** people have told me to do- so I just deleted a;ll my mods that I put into the game...and now I'm re-install the game..again.
If that gives you any ideas- I hope it helps... sorry.
First off. Uninstall the game. go into the directory and delete anything you see with Activision or call of duty 2. then, reinstall the game. Make sure the disc is clean, use Windex or water and a rag to clean the disc. (the smallest smudge ALWAYS screws my install up..). Install. DO not play it yet. Go to there website and locate the newest patch for the game. Update the entire game first. Then go play. all the servers are kicking you because you are not updated like everyone else. The game itself and server is kicking you because you are not updated. You **MUST** update to the newest driver or the server will **NEVER** let you in. Hope that sheds some light on the situation. any further questions email. email@example.com
This is simple. If you try and connect to a server it cant just let you on. It needs to donwload the maps, servers, players ect. When it sais downloading then leave it and it will connect on its own. When you get kicked from a server it is not because of a download, its different.
Don't panic when it kicks you, it happens to everyone.
If you are getting kicked from servers more than usuall, then i would reccomend to talk to a real gamer who is addicted to these games. You may find them on sites such as google or yahoo answers, even youtube!
