Question about Sony PlayStation 2 Slimline Console
When i start up my play station it wont read the disc and the lens don't move
Clean the lens with a Q tip and alcohol,if you have to push down on the top of the playstation then you may need a new spindle motor. If the laser doesn't work after cleaning, then replace it either professionally or with someone who already has done it before.
If the laser doesn't move at all,or even pulsate a beam then it is surely defective,or the data ribbon to it has been disconnected.

First of all the new laser lens will not allow your Slim to read NTSC UC games if you have a PAL european Console.
There is no reason the New laser should have not read the disc unless it Came to you damaged. It sounds like you know how to replace a laser.
