I have a luxor 32" lcd tv and i cant get my surrond sound speakers to work. how do i do this?

Hi well surround sound speakers require an "Interconnection" box, that is a box with Jacks that the Red & White stereo audio plug into, on one side, and the 3 SS speakers plug into the "Other side" as it were. Usually with SS we have a Rear, Front and Sub Woofer, as this means 3 sets of speakers must mate with the 2 outputs from the TV etc. So the "Line Out" stereo output from the TV, which are usually the Red & White, is the output to the interconnection box, from there it feeds into the SS decoder, some plug directly into the decoder itself, and don't use an interconnect box, but it's all the same in the end. The stereo output is fed into the SS decoder, and then SS signal is extracted from the sign in, and routed out to the appropriate speakers.

My Sony home theater video center speaker don't work.

Check the connections between the speaker input on the rear of the unit, and the cable to the speaker itself, ensuring there are no weak spots or cracks. Check to make sure the centre speaker is securely connected to the correct port/socket on the rear of the unit. Also check settings of the surround in the unit's setup option - and if the display shows speaker icons and the centre one is not illuminated, it is probably OFF, or the selected mode/function does not require that speaker. If this is the case, change the function using the unit's function (mode) button, either on the front, or via the remote. (some home theatre systems have multiple modes/functions, for example MOVIE, DYNAMIC, DTS, 2 CH stereo, etc.)

It is also a good idea to do a 5.1 surround test - some DVDs have this as a bonus setup feature, but you can do this with a normal audio source, such as from a DVD or a TV program. You should hear a sound from each of the speakers, and if the unit has a volume control or each speaker does, make sure these are set to a relatively equal audible level.

If after trying the above, you still get no sound from the centre speaker, it is possible either the speaker itself or the unit has a fault. If it is the former, consider replacing the speaker. If it is the latter, this could be expensive in terms of parts and labour - as service technicians charge an arm and a leg for repairs to the amplifier circuit in these units.

In any event, try the basic, simple steps above before considering any further action. It could just be a faulty speaker, a bad connection, an incorrect connection, or a mode/function setting is wrong, causing the speaker to be OFF.

I have bought a Sony Home theatre with total 6 speakers (including woofer, rear speakers (2), Front speakers with stand(2) and onr central speaker. But the centre speaker is not responding during TV,...

That would all be a function of your HTS, not necessarily the speakers.

Get a handle on how IT works, maybe find the manual and perform setup to verify the speakers work at proper levels.

I imagine it has several Digital Sound Processing modes that can create multi-speaker sound from any source.

Weird surround sound speaker behavior with Denon 2105 7.1

Sounds interesting.
It may sound silly, but can you check all your speaker cables again and confirm whether they are connected to the right connections. please check all cables as also the severed one and please repair it also.

Now please go to the system-set-up and do an auto setup and set up your speakers. Listen to the test tones and confirm that they are coming out of the correct speaker.

Once these are set, then if still there is mismatch of sounds, then we could further trouble shoot.

Not getting Audio from the Front B Speakers

There are two ways to get change the speaker config that I didn't see at first. One is the curved-line 'Speaker Menu Guide') button on the front of the remote below the wheel that toggles A, B, A+B. The other factor is to choose a Surround Parameter that doesn't send all the audio through the center channel - (keep pressing SIMU button on the back of the remote to cycle through some DSP profiles, I'm using the 5Ch Stereo).

Center speaker will not work

If you had the Speakers Set to A (not B) and no headphones connected when you pressed the TEST TONE button on the Onkyo HT-R540 (also known as the HTS-790) remote, and you had no sound from the Center Speaker then try the following steps. 1) Check the Center Speaker wiring at both ends under a bright light and make sure that there is not a strand of wire touching the Receiver Chassis or another speaker post. Check both + and - . If that looks okay, 2) unscrew the Center Speaker Post connections on the Receiver and verify that the bare stripped wire is making contact. Often, the insulation is too far into the connector. When screwed down, the wire's insulation is crushed and keeps the bare wire from making contact. If this looks okay and the unit is under Warranty, your last test is to: 3) temporarily swap the wires from the Center Speaker with the Right Front Speaker. Turn the volume down low and try the TEST TONE button again. If you now hear sound from the Center Speaker box itself and none from the Right Speaker box, then the Receiver is the problem. If you still do not hear sound from the Center Speaker box, then the Center speaker itself is defective.
