Boom box won't play CD

The Laser is more than likely the problem, but you can only replace with the whole assembly due to alignment issues, not cost effective.

Hello i have a dvd-K500 multi disk cd stacker.it plays every cd but it stops in the middle of every 2nd track on every disc. can u help me? drew

it just needs a good lazer clean. as lazers read furthur to the inside or end of a disc the lazer needs to be able to read at 70% more power thus it must be fully free from dust smoke residue and other air born particles good luck.

Not recognising that there is a cd in there. keeps saying 'no disk'

Hi there , have you tryed cleaning the lazer lens very gentle with a cotton bud , the lazer could be quite costly to replace , there is a very small ajustment on the lazer inside the unit but would need someone with a bit no how to ajust the setting a very small amount to see if the lazer will work better .

The lazer unit won't raise up.

Have you checked to see if the units laser assy is returning to home and when its trying to read a disc, is the lens moving up and down , trying to focus? Have you tryed to clean the laser lens? If you have done all this then your units most likly going to need a laser assy or a servo alighnment. If it has to go into A shop for repair, Im afraid it may not be worth it. GOOD lUCK
