Question about Hasbro I-DOG AMP'D

1 Answer

My idog amp'd wont play music.

My idog will turn on and the usual things but i cant get him to play music the only time you can hear the music it is playing is when you pat it or when it barks. no other times. I have tried changing the batteries and the reset button but it just doesnt work. I just got an iCat, but when I plug it in to any music player (mp3 player, portable CD player, and my computer), it doesn't play the music through its speaker (it acts like it is, though - blinking and moving to the music). So I tried setting it near the music so its microphone could pick it up, but it doesn't even react. Is the problem in its microphone, its speaker, or something else?

I-Dog works fine, except the play music part (which is why we purchased it) Purchased I-CY and he works great. All other functions are fine. Help

same problem...no music plays through the speaker unless you are rubbing it's head. All other functions are working appropriately.

Either put your i-dog by a speaker with high volume or plug him to a music player.

I can't get my techpet to wirk

Instructions
    • 1 Check that the iDog is powered on if it doesn't respond to your commands. Press its nose to activate the toy.
    • 2 Verify that the iDog has fresh batteries installed if the dog doesn't turn on. Use a Phillips screwdriver to open the dog's battery compartment, located on the its right back leg. Insert two new AA-sized batteries according to the "+" and "-" symbols listed in the compartment.
    • 3 Inspect the iDog's connection to your iPod if it doesn't move and dance to your iPod's music. Plug the iDog's connector cable into your iPod. The cable end labeled "B" gets inserted into the headphone jack on your iPod. The opposite end goes into the front left leg of the iDog.
    • 4 Make sure your iPod is powered on if the toy is connected to the media player and is turned on, but not moving to the music. Your iPod may need recharged by connecting it to a computer with its included USB cable.
    • 5 Reset the iDog if it continually freezes or stops moving in the middle of a dance. Use the tip of a pen, paper clip or similar thin object to press the reset button located on the bottom of the toy's head.

How do I stop motor motion of my I-Dog Amp'd while still playing music?

While your iDog AMP'D is in "Listening Mode", hold down it's tail, and press it's nose. Make sure that you keep holding it's tail down the entire time, even after you pressed it's nose. You should see a spinning light pattern, that signifys that the motor movements are off. To turn them back on, either turn off/on your iDop AMP'D, or do the same thing but hold it's tail upwards. If your iDog AMP'D growls instead, that means it was not in "Listening Mode", and simply wait for it to start showing light patterns to music, then try again.

Hope this helped!

Amp'd turns on but turns off after intro.

I had this problem too, I was going crazy and worried about it, your iDog AMP'D Just needs new batteries, to change it, unscrew the metal screws that are located under it's back legs, and replace the old batteries with three new AA ones. Make sure they are good batteries!

Hope this helped!
