You need an o-ring repair kit. the part number will be located in your owner's manual. a blown upper o-ring is usually due to leaving it out in the weather for extended periods of time or hooking it up to a compressor with a psi regulator set over 120.

Why won't feed plunger advance nails?

The two hex head screws on the very top of the head hold the air deflector and attach to the headvalve (the part inside the head with rubber coating, this headvalve has a gasket under that should be check for proper alignment ). Other small screws that look like set screw are only plugs that are removed to install auto control hoses in factory work. These are only plugs so just put them in a few turns with locktite.

I have a 2002 gallant and the heat doesnt blow warm air..any thoughts?

Make sure that the radiator is full and if you still dont have hot air then check to see if the top rad hose and the bottom rad hose are hot after driving for 30 minutes. Now if the bottom rad hose is not as hot as the top hose then replace the thermostat. If both the hoses are hot then check the two hoses going into heater core at the fire wall, both of the hoses should be hot, if not then problem is in the heater core.

I have a nv45ab roofing nailgun & it blows air out of exhaust on top any sug.

Hitachi nailers use an unusual design of actually moving the cylinder to fire instead of moving the headvalve. If the cylinder gets stuck in the open position (down), air will leak out of the head. To reset the cylinder, remove the nails and connect air supply. With air connected, lightly rap the head of the nailer against coiled air hose or soft rubber (too hard of a hit could damage the head). If after a couple of hits air still leaks, remove head and check headvalve for cracks. Replace as needed. If headvalve rubber looks ok, remove cylinder and clean/lube. If cylinder has fine scratches where orings make contact, sand smooth with 400 grit sandpaper. Lube with silicone paste, white grease or nailer oil.

I changed the feeder springs in my hitachi NV83 a2 and it wants to double fire and jaming up the driver with seconded nail. it was skip nailing before i changed springs. any help you could give me would be...

Your nailer is a very heavy duty nailer with very powerful blow. Works best with full size nails, not 2 inch range that are used in fencing, they are not spaced correctly for your gun (like hitting number 6 nail with sledge hammer). Open side door and remove the nails, leave the door open and dry fire gun against piece of rubber or old coiled air hose. The driver should return all the way up between shots and the feeder should move back then forward just as fast as the driver moves. If the feeder seems to move in slower motion then pull feed piston and replace orings and remove debris from feed cylinder. If the driver seems to stick out further than normal then lower bumper could be breaking up causing debris to enter feeder. Make sure that the driver is not bent and has a squared bottom, if rounded, remove and grind square. Finally adjust the depth control up or down slightly and bump fire for test, do not place gun on the work then fire. good luck

When firing nailer first nail shoots good but next nails head will get stuck between the push rod chamber. push doesnt seem to return fully top when nail is cycled.

Try oiling the tool first. Remove the nails, squirt a decent amount of air tool oil in the stem where the air hose coupler connects, and fire the tool a dozen times or so. Then put in the nails and test. If it still hangs up then it will need the o-rings replaced.

83 SILVER SPUR,FIRING ORDER?

The firing order is A1-B1-A4-B4-B2-A3-B3-A2. left side being B bank.

If you need schematics and are in the USA, try ALBERS in Zionsville for all you R/R needs.

They are very helpful and will download or fax you copies of wiring and spec's you need although if not buying parts they may charge for faxes.

If your in UK try the guys at phantommotorcar@aol.com or look them up on Google.

Nail gun is miss fireing sometimes might only fire 1 in 4 nails fired

remove all the nails and remove the air hose. BUMP the tool on something and does the driver come down on its own if so it needs new o rings. also take a look at the feed pawl for a broken spring that would prevent it from feeding nails and lastly look at the coil of nails to make sure they pull freely. Let me know if you need more assistance.

The front cylinder on my 83 honda shadow 750 doesnt seem to be fireing it has new plugs its getting spark, is it possibale that only on cylinder is getting gas? i take the plugs off when the bike is...

the carbs need to be cleaned out, the front carb has a stopped up low speed jet. If you have already cleaned them then they need to be synchronized. Cleaning means removal and dis-assembly, you cannot get to the jets by spraying cleaner in the air intake.
