This is a problem that your mobile carrier can answer correctly. However, since you have posted your question on Fixya, I will provide some tips for you to check on.
Some possible causes on your communication problem:
1. "NOT REGISTERED TO NETWORK"
This message will appear for the following reasons -
Network signal is weak - somewhere on the top of your display is a triangular shape with bars. Signal strength is displayed here. If you see only a few bars highlighted, and changes randomly, this is an indication that problem is with the signal.
Other times the problem may be with the phone. When the SIM card is not properly seated in its housing, phone will go off - on -off - on, at a slight touch.
Another possible cause is a partially dislodgement of the internal connections/ joints of the phone's antenna. If your phone was subjected to a hard knock, this will cause a similar problem.
Check those and if you cant resolve your problem, contact you mobile carrier for assistance.
Before you even start trouble shooting ask yourself whether your phone may be barred from the network if it is stolen or the account holder did not pay their bill....If this is not the case then ensure that your phone is powered on. Hold the power button down for a full 3 seconds. (The power button is often located on the top of your phone. Please refer to your user guide for the location of the power button for your specific phone).
Confirm that your service is active. If you are unsure, contact your service provider.
Check that you have sufficient network signal strength. When you are at the start screen or in a call, the strength of the radio signal is indicated by the signal indicators on the left side of your phone's display. These indicators move up as the strength of the signal increases and down as the signal decreases. To increase your phone's signal strength, try moving your phone slightly, or move towards a window if you're calling from inside a building.
If you are still unable to place a call, please contact your service provider. If they are unable to assist you, please submit your phone so it may be inspected for repair.
Please try the following troubleshooting tips:

If there is a headset attached to the phone, it will not ring. You should be able to hear the ringing through the headset. Detach the headset and retest the phone to determine if that resolves the issue.
Check to see if the phone is in the "Silent" profile. If the phone is in the "Silent profile", change the "Silent" profile to the "Normal" profile and retest. To change your profile, please refer to your user guide.
Ensure that a ring tone has been enabled and the volume is not too low. (Please follow the instructions in your user guide.)
If your phone goes straight to voice mail without ringing and your phone is powered on and you have sufficient signal strength, your service provider may need to reset your voicemail services.
If your phone still will not ring, please submit your phone to repair so they may try to resolve the issue for you.

I am using Nokia 5200 cell phone for the last 6 months.Suddenly voice problem started as it is a flip phone the material base is very soft .If the other party calls me I can not hear the ring tone.when i contacted the service centre they told me that under the Keypads there is a case that holds the cover with 2 small clips ,that is broken which is difficult to find so better apply some adhesive or feviquick , After a month now the problem is of signal. My cell sometimes show no signal or shows only one bar of signal, Temporarily this can be sorted out if I press the phone between the "GO TO" KEY AND THE "GREEN ANSWER KEY" it comes with full signal.then after some times there will be no signal. Can anyone tell what will be the problem ?
