Question about Gateway Computers & Internet
Did you get Microsoft word/office installed with your PC? Or as a free download?
If so you likely have received what is called a "Trial" version. Which is only valid for a certain period of time. Once the time expires the want you to either pay for a permanent liscense or stop using the software.
If you believe you HAVE a permanent liscense, then you can contact Microsoft to clear things up and get an key to reactivate office. If it WAS a trial then you have 2 choices.
1.) Contact Microsoft to purchase a permanent liscense
2.) Get one of the "Free" office suites that are out there Suns "OpenOffice" seems to be one of the most popular of the free opensource office replacements and has just about every function that MS Office does.
Hope this helps you
