Question about AcerPower Se PC Desktop
I'm interested in replacing the onboard video (ATI) by installing a GeForce 9800GT card. While the motherboard does have a slot for a PCI-Express card, I'm curious to whether it's a 1.0 or 2.0 PCI-E? (I believe all GeForce 9 series cards are strictly v2.0 support)
If it is a 1.0, is there a BIOS fix for this to accept the 2.0 versions? Or is this strictly a hardware limitation?
PCI-E is backwards convertible with any other version. Don't worry about mixing versions up. Instead ensure you select the right size. x 16 is the standard right now. Just pick up any card that is a x16 and you'll be fine.
